Updated Nov.09: Hello everyone, after 8 long months of Alex attending SBA in Baja,Mexico, we have brought him home once again to be united with his family and we hope that he has learned important life long tools to assist himself and all of us with moving forward.  Denise and I brought him on Oct. 15th and many thanks to so many for your kind words of support, your love and prayers. It has been a long 3 yrs or so.. It means more to us than you can possibly know by just dropping an email. The reason why I have decided to create a page within my business website is to not so much tell our story in short but to provide awareness to others so they know it just doesn't happen to them. There are options and help out there to help heal families if a parent desires to choose to do whatever it takes for their child. Once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts..

It is with a heavy heart that we share with you that our 15yr. old son Alex has been transported to treatment facility for teens in crisis on  Sunday 3/15/09 after relapsing being home for less than 5 months and being in a behavioral residential treatment center for a year prior. Even though we are saddened by this, Denise and I are united knowing that our only son was calling out for help and we are certainly saving his life.. Simply put, he was just not ready to come home.. He is getting the finest therapy everyday to deal with his issues while getting an excellent academic education as well in a highly structured environment where enrollment is based on results and not time.. If you know someone that has a child in crisis, please do not hesitate to contact me at anytime day or night. Thank you for prayers, love & support at this difficult time in our lives. For almost 2 years (since Nov. 07) that we have involved with this program, Denise and I have learned much to change the dynamic of our family in order to truly find what works for our own family and at the same time we have supported families and teens in crisis in moving forward in being united, healthy and happy families. Paying it forward to help others while we help our own situation to create awareness in our community where we live is of the utmost importance to us so if you have a child in crisis or know a family who does, please feel free to contact me at anytime.  There is hope and giving up is NOT an option but action must be taken or otherwise the same results will continue. The children that attend these types of private schools are all good kids from good families. They are just making non-working choices in their lives.  All in all it is truly up to the child to create change for themselves, to be accountable for their dreams and vision while we support them in doing so., as a parent of a child such as this, we have learned to do the same as well as "letting go," of our child's choices which takes alot of tools and more love so that we do not fall victim of circumstance and carry that guilt and "failure as a parent" drama.

Our beloved son is now 17 yrs. old and his choices and patterns are still non-working. Many ask us, "Well you spent all that money and it didn't work".. Not so, It saved Denise and I individually through the crisis period of initially having to give up our then 13yr. old son to those who can help him because here we did not have information or resources to assist us with the chaos and safety factor at that time. The training we were involved in gave us "tools" if you will and has collectively as husband and wife  made us stronger. To me that is priceless.. We know that as Mom and Dad, we cannot change our son but pray that he will see the love that surrounds him and create that change for himself..
